Pensatos was founded as a
place for some of the most independent bands around the
world to be heard. Today's music labels, with
piracy on the rise and sales in a constant disarray,
hardly take chances. Those chances could be a new
sound, a revisited sound, or a retuned perfection but
simply unnoticed by the labels or too early to wait
while it
develops. We are here to change that. We
believe every artist should have a shot. We are
not here to nurture their sound. We are not here
to act as a promotional campaign. We are here to
pass the word around on every bit of indie sound we can
gather. We'll leave the decision making up to you.
Pensatos is founded and located in Chicago, Illinois and
thrives on the local and national music scene with a
fierce dedication to it's subscription base. Our
goal is to provide you with the sounds to change
outlooks on today's music and possibly help bring that
trio you heard last night at some dive club to the
spotlight. We need your feedback, your ears, your
eyes to help independent music grow beyond the basements
of Middletown USA. From our daily news updates,
concert listings, audio samples, opinionated reviews and
columns, exclusive interviews and sample podcasts, we
hope to accomplish just that. We are the unheard
